Today’s Google Doodle: 112th Birthday of Jorge Luis Borges

Today’s Google Doodle commemorates Jorge Luis Borges 112th birthday an Argentine poet, essayist, and short story writer.

One of the famous works of Jorge Luis Borges is “The Garden of Forking Paths” that was published in 1941. He was born in Buenos Aires but spent most of his life in Switzerland and Spain. Before he got famous he worked as a librarian and a public lecturer he even have this well-known quote “I have always imagined that paradise will be a kind of library.”

Aside from “The Garden of Forking Paths” one of his famous books are “Ficciones” (1944) and “The Aleph” (1949). These are compilations of short stories about dreams, labyrinths, libraries, religion and God.
