Today’s Google Doodle commemorates Les Paul’s 96th birthday. If you’ll notice Google’s Logo is an interactive playable electric guitar.

Lester William Polsfuss aka Les Paul was born on June 9, 1915. He was an American jazz and country guitarist, songwriter and inventory.

He develops the solid-body electric guitar which starts the rock roll era.
