This manga episode of One Piece is a bit of display of Straw Hat Pirates newly discovered skills and powers. It seems that Luffy is too excited to show his powers over the giant squid here compare to Yussop and Chopper who seems to be very scared and I don’t know why since they also have some secret skill that were learned during their two years of training. Caribou the psychotic pirate seems to be scared too, I never taught Oda would gave this character this humor.

Since Luffy really wanted to fight the giant squid, Caribou suggested them to use Barefoot Coating (Diving Suits in Bubble form). Luffy together with Zoro and Sanji went off to Thousand Sunny to face the giant squid Kraken using the Barefoot Coating. The giant squid tried to attack the Thousand Sunny directly, but then Franky use his Rocket Launcher to block the Kraken’s attack. Chopper on the other hand use his Guard Point Technique to keep Thousand Sunny protected. Robin also help using her Higantes Mano Technique preventing Thousand Sunny from hitting the sea walls.

Luffy prepares to fight the Kraken using his Gear 3 Color of Armaments Hardening technique. Sanji then attack the Kraken using Blue Walk to get near the Kraken and attack it with his Grill Shot and Diable Jame Bien Cuit. On the other hand Zoro use his three-sword style secret technique and Crossing of Six Paths to slice out the Kraken’s arms. Finally Luffy gave the Kraken one shot of his fist the “Elephant Gun Technique” and the Kraken got knock off.

I wonder what are those sharks for that appeared after the Kraken got knock off? Anyway after the defeat of the Kraken, Sanji, Zoro and Luffy were dragged down away from Thousand Sunny. The Thousand Sunny were also pulled down the sea floor for about 7,000 meters below which is 3,000 meters remaining to reach Fishman Island. For the finale for this chapter, since underworld sea is too dark for them Franky use his nipple lights to light their way and I guess this is the most awesome skill ever shown in this chapter. I hope Sanji, Zoro and Luffy will never get lost and return soon since Oda love’s to make long separations from the crew.
